Allied Health

Baccalaureate Track Allied Health

Allied health care professions are distinct from dentistry, nursing, medicine, and pharmacy. Allied health professionals generally work in health care teams to make the health care system function by providing a range of diagnostic, technical, therapeutic and direct patient care and support services that are critical to other health professionals they work with and the patients they serve. It is estimated that allied health professionals make up 60 percent of the total health workforce.
The goal of the Associate in Science in the Baccalaureate Track-Allied Health program is to prepare students for additional study in allied health fields. Our program is designed to provide students with the science core which will enable them to enter a baccalaureate degree program in allied health. Areas of specific interest include in Sonography, Radiography, Radiation Therapy, Nuclear Medicine, Nutritional Science, Occupational Therapy and Communication science.
