Oklahoma City, OK - On the morning of November 8th, the Rose State College women's soccer team united as one to help the community by volunteering for Habitat of Humanity. From the hours of nine to four the girls found themselves installing windows, putting up sheet rock and reconstructing an old garage.

"I learned that installing windows wasn't as easy as I thought, but It was still a pretty cool project" said freshman, Brenda Loza. "It was really cool how we all came together to give back to the community, we're grateful for this type of opportunities that impacted our lives", Sydney David (sophomore). Central Oklahoma Habitat for Humanity is part of a worldwide, nonprofit, non-denominational Christian housing ministry. Habitat is founded on the conviction that every man, woman, and child should have a simple, decent, affordable place to live in dignity and in safety. This is why they bring together people from all walks of life to build and preserve affordable homes for families in need in central Oklahoma. The Rose State Women Soccer program is grateful for the opportunity and as a first year program this would definitely become a tradition for future years.
