EmPower Program
EmPower at Rose State College serves TANF (Temporary Assistance
for Needy Families) recipients by providing job-skill related assistance.
EmPower provides training for the following skills:
- Computer Applications
- Business English
- Medical Office Terminology
- Customer Service
- Employment Skills
- Sales and Marketing
- Introduction to Legal Office
- Internships (Job Readiness)*
- Job Preparation (Resume Writing & Interviewing)
Other Additional Workshops Include:
- First Aid/CPR
- HIPAA
- Telephone Etiquette
- Keyboarding/10 Key
- Preparation for the State Work Keys Exam

semester of computer training

The EmPower Program is located at the top floor of the Chase Building
at the corner of 15th and Air Depot in Midwest City. The
EmPower Program is funded through DHS and the Oklahoma State
Regents for Higher Education.

* Clerical Internships are an integral part of the EmPower Program. Internships begin the second month of training and are two full days per week. Placements are made according to the interests and abilities of each particular student.
