High School Writer's Workshop - April 4th - 9:00am to 1:30pm

Featured Speaker: Rilla Askew
Rilla Askew is the award-winning author of the novels The Mercy Seat and A Fire in Beulah. A Fire in Beulah was also chosen as the Oklahoma Reads Oklahoma book for the bicentennial.

9:00: Fiction Writing Workshop
10:30: Poetry Writing Workshop
12:00-1:30: Lunch with Guest Speaker , Rilla Askew
Workskop Facilitators:
Carl Senhenn, Rose State College professor, former Oklahoma Poet Laureate, will lead the poetry workshop. Mr. Sennhenn is the author of Oklahoma Book Award winning poetry collection Travels Through the Enchanted Woods.
Tim Tharp, also a professor at Rose State, will lead the fiction writing workshop. He is the author of the Oklahoma Book Award novel, Knights of the Hill Country.
