FREE Boating Safety Course!
Did you know that OK state law requires everyone, between the ages of 12-16, to complete a NASBLA approved course before operating any boat, including personal watercraft, or any sailboat 16-feet in length or greater? That means that before you can set sail, you need your Boating Safety certificate.
The Marine Enforcement Section of the Oklahoma Highway Patrol & the OK Dept. of Public Safety is offering a FREE 6-hour boating safety course. This class will cover: navigation rules, state boating laws, safe vessel operation, equipment requirements, boating courtesy, and other boating safety topics.
The class will be May 16th in the Community Learning Center from 8:00am-6:00pm.
A multiple-choice exam will be given at the end of the course, and students who pass will be issued a card as proof of course completion.
For any questions, or to enroll, please call Trooper Amy Cobalt at (405) 306-5406 or go to okboated.com
Please be advised that we offer non-credit classes to the community. We do not offer degree-seeking academic classes through the Community Learning Center.
