The Environmental Science program has three degree options:
Quality/Safety Option
The goal of the Environmental Science – Quality/Safety Associate in Science degree is to provide subject matter usually included in the first two years of a four-year baccalaureate program in Environmental Science Occupational Safety. This option addresses environmental quality issues. The graduate will normally be able to transfer into a four year Environmental Science program as a junior level student. Specific objectives include:
Providing students with mathematical and science core which will enable them to take on specific environmental courses in various areas of environmental fields.
Provide students with the life and physical science core necessary for students to transfer into a baccalaureate degree program.
Provide general education which allows the student to broaden his/her educational experience.
Natural Resources Option
The goal of the Environmental Science – Natural Resources Associate in Science degree is to provide subject matter usually included in the first two years of a four-year baccalaureate program in Environmental Science Natural Resources. This option addresses environmental issues related to agriculture and natural resources management.
Provide general education which allows the student to broaden his/her educational experience
Science and Analytical Option
The goal of the Environmental Science – Science and Analytical Associate in Science degree is to provide subject matter usually included in the first two years of a four-year baccalaureate program in Environmental Science – Science and Analytical. This option is designed with less focus on environmental program requirements and more on the supported and related requirements such as math and physical science. This option will prepare students in the science and engineering inherent in environmental science. The graduate will normally be able to transfer into a four year Environmental Science program as a junior level student. Specific objectives include:
Providing students with mathematical and science core which will enable them to take on specific environmental courses in various areas of environmental fields.
