Michael Anderson

Michael Anderson was born on December 25,1959, in Plattsburgh, New York. He graduated from Cheney High School in Cheney, Washington, in 1977. Graduating from the University of Washington in 1981, he received a Bachelor of Science degree and then went on to get a Master of science degree in physics from Creighton University in 1990. Anderson reported to the Johnson Space Center in March, 1995 after being selected by NASA in December,1994. In his spare time he enjoyed photography, chess, computers, and tennis.

David Brown

David M. Brown was born on April 16,1956 in Arlington, Virginia. He graduated from Yorktown High School (1974) located in Arlington, Virginia and then went on to receive a Bachelor of Science degree in biology from the College of William and Mary in 1978. After obtaining a bachelor's degree, he then went to Eastern Virginia Medical School and received a doctorate in medicine in 1982. Brown reported to the Johnson Space Center in August 1996 after being selected by NASA in April,1996.
He enjoyed flying and bicycle touring and was very active in college as a gymnast on the varsity team for four years.

William McCool

William C. McCool was born on September 23,1961 in San Diego, California. After graduating from Coronado High School, Lubbock,Texas in 1979, McCool went on to receive a Bachelor of Science degree in applied science from the US Naval Academy in 1985, and in 1992 he recieved a master of science degree in aeronautical engineering from the US Naval Postgraduate School.McCool reported to the Johnson Space Centerin August, 1996 after being selected by NASA in April, 1996. He completed two years of training there and that made him qualified to be a pilot. He enjoyed running, mountain biking, back country hiking/camping, swimming, playing guitar, and chess.
