Your first assignment is to enroll in Blackboard.com and create your Homepage. You will need an e-mail address to enroll; so if you do not have one, set up an account with some of the free sites. (Yahoo (http://mail.yahoo.com/), Netscape (http://home.netscape.com/webmail/index-f.html), Hotmail (www.hotmail.com), etc.) Once you have an e-mail account, enroll in Blackboard.com and bookmark that site on your home computer. Your ACCESS CODE is arthistory (all one word and lower caps).

Once you enter the main page for our Art 2813 class, follow these steps:

  • Click on the "STUDENT TOOLS" button.
  • Click on the "Edit Your Homepage" icon.
  • In the "Intro Message" box, just put a short message.
  • In the "Personal Information" box, you can elaborate and be more specific.
  • As you scroll down, the place to "Upload Photo" is right beneath the Personal Information box.
  • You can add "Favorite Links" now, or throughout the semester.
  • Click on the "UPDATE HOMEPAGE" button at the bottom of the page. (Don't forget this button when you are making any changes or additions to your homepage throughout the semester!)
(To post your picture, I can help you scan one or take one with my digital camera to use. It would be good to do this before you create your homepage, but it can be added at any time.)

There will be points deducted if it is late.
