position?
A. Faxed applications are temporarily accepted
under special circumstances but the original application must be
received soon there after. An original signed application is necessary

Q. What
is the minimum speed you need to pass the typing test?
A. This depends on the position you are applying
for. Normally it is between 40 to 60 words per minute. (top)
Q. Where
do I find information about part-time jobs?
A. The Personnel Services office does not maintain a listing
of part-time positions. We recommend that you check with the specific
areas you are interested in for availablity. However, it is important
that you have an application on file. Your application will be sent
to the area specified on the Application for employment. (top)
Q. Do
you have a job line I can call?
A. No, we no longer have a job line; however,
you can check the Web Page for Classified Jobs, Faculty Jobs, and
Professional Jobs. All positions are now posted online. (top)

can I find out the status of a position?
A. To find out the status of a posted position
you should contact the Personnel Services office. (top)
Q. Will
I be notified regarding the selection for the position for which
I applied?
A. If you are selected for a professional position,
you will be notified by the hiring department or division. If you
are not selected, the Personnel Services office will notifiy you
by mail following the offer and acceptance by another candidate.

do I find out if I have been selected for an interview?
A. You will be notified by the hiring department
or division to schedule an interview time and date. (top)
Q. Is
a resume acceptable as application for a position?
A. A resume may only be attached as a supplement
to the actual application. The application is the offical document
and must be completed in its entirety. (top)
Q. How
long does my application remain on file?
A. Your application will remain active for one
year. You will need to contact the Personnel Services office if
you desire to reactivate your application for another year. The
active date for your application can also be extended by completing
an Application Update form or by submitting new materials for your
file within 3 months of the approaching inactivation date. (top)
Q. Do
you require an official transcript?
A. Yes, although a good and clean copy of an offical
transcript may be accepted. When not accepted, the applicant is
