Financial Aid
Rose State College school code 009185
The Office of Student Financial Aid provides students with assistance in acquiring resources to attend Rose State College. Students who meet eligibility requirements qualify to receive federal, state or institutional funds. Assistance may be in the form of scholarships, grants, loans or work programs.
The Office of Student Financial Aid conducts workshops (both on campus and off campus) to assist applicants and parents with the application process.
Students are encouraged to complete an application for assistance in January, February or March for the upcoming school year. Early application and completion of all required verification assures the student of best consideration for all programs. Program funding is limited. Usually, students who have applied and completed their files before June 1 are able to receive awards early enough to assist them for
the fall semester. Students that wait until later to apply do not allow sufficient time for the process to be completed for a fall semester.
A new FAFSA must be completed each school year.
The Office of Student Financial Aid is located in the Student Services Building in Room 200. Our offices are open from 8:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Mondays and
Tuesdays, 8:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M. on Wednesdays and Thursdays and 8:00 A.M.
to 5:00 P.M. on Fridays.
Federal Work-Study
Students who are interested in the Federal Work-Study (FWS) program
need to visit with the Office of Financial Aid, SSB 200. Students
must be awarded FWS by the Office of Financial Aid before they can
be referred for a job. Students will need to bring a copy of their
Financial Aid Award letter, a picture ID, and their Social Security
card to the Financial Aid Office to begin the referral process.
Wages for FWS jobs range from $6.55/hour to $7.50/hour depending
on the position.
