A gift from the estate of former Rose State College Regent Dr. Frances White Hughes, a longtime educator

and community leader, is being used to fund scholarships in her name. Hughes Scholars are required to complete 90 hours as an intern, in the Rose State College Performing Arts Theatre, Civic Center Music Hall, or an approved equivalent environment each semester, to complete an approved business course each semester, and complete the RSC student leadership development course their first semester of receiving the award.
*Rose State College awards up to 10 Hughes Memorial Scholarships each year.
*Each scholar receives a $2,000 scholarship per semester (FA13/ SP14) and may be used
toward tuition, fees, books, and other approved related course expenses.
*Scholars must enroll in at least 12 credit hours per semester at Rose State College.
*Scholars must have earned (in high school or college) and maintain a minimum 2.5
*There is not an ACT requirement.
*Scholars must complete 90 hours per semester as an intern in the Rose State College
Performing Arts Theatre, Civic Center Music Hall, or an approved equivalent
environment each semester.
