All students must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at http://fafsa.gov for the appropriate academic year. Because a new form is produced for every academic year, care must be taken to complete the correct form. Paper forms are available by calling 1-800-4FEDAID.
What Kind of Information is Required on the Form?
In order to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), you need to provide your family's financial information. You must report your information for the last tax year. In addition, you may be required to provide your parents' information, as required by law.
How Does It All Work?
The U.S. Department of Education will send you the results of your application. The Rose State College Office of Student Financial Aid will contact you regarding additional required paperwork. If you do not receive a response within four weeks, contact the Office of Student Financial Aid. After all your documentation has been submitted and your eligibility is determined, the RSC Office of Student Financial Aid will send you an award letter. Once your accounts have been paid, any remaining amounts will be disbursed to you by the Rose State College Business Office.
NOTE: If you did not list RSC’s school code of 009185 on the original FAFSA application form, you will need to add our school code by going to www.fafsa.gov and making a correction to your FAFSA to add RSC.
