To receive a scholarship, the student must be a legal resident of the State of Oklahoma as classified by the Office of Admissions and Records. Scholarships are not available to non-residents. All students are required to enroll in a minimum number of credit hours based upon the award type.
All students receiving leadership scholarships, with the exception of the Academic Success Scholarship, are required to enroll in LEAD 2103, Lessons in Leadership Class during the first fall semester and attend the Leadership Retreat in August. A key component of the course is the application of leadership theory to "real life" projects. Participants also focus on balancing their time and involvement, developing goals, and learning and practicing communication skills. Other participation required is club participation, service hours, attend meeting, etc. depending on the leadership scholarship received. Scholar-leaders also have one on one case management of their academic plans.
