Getting to know your TI-83

When performing addition, subtraction multiplication, and division, the TI-83 uses the standard order to operations. The use of parentheses may be required for some expressions.

Quadratic Functions

If a > 0, then the function has a minimum at the x coordinate of the vertex
If a < 0, then the function has a maximum at the x coordinate of the vertex

Determine the maximum number of roots possible (the highest exponent).
