Rose State College will offer a workshop to help enrollment for members of the military and their dependents on Thursday, July 26th at 6 p.m. in the campus Student Center’s Raider Room.
The workshop will focus on financial aid, support services, tutoring, job placement, mentoring and workshops, but also specific help for military or military dependent students, such as obtaining transcripts.
Student Services coordinator Erica Alvarez said military families move so often that transcripts may be scattered between several different schools.
“We’ll be talking about the admissions process, including how to obtain your transcript. Official transcripts can be a hassle for people in the military,” Alvarez said.
Scholarships, Veterans Affairs benefits, and financial aid such as Pell Grants will also be discussed.
Refreshments and door prizes will also be available.
