Update: Rose State College has again been selected as a "Military Friendly School" for 2013 by the publishers of G.I. Jobs Magazine.
Rose State College has been serving the unique needs of military personnel since its inception in 1970. Many of our military students come to us because of our close proximity to Tinker Air Force Base. Not only are we virtually across the street from the base, we also have a satellite campus right on the base where classes can be taken. Rose State also offers six degrees fully online as well as all of the basic prerequisite courses. That's why we say: On Base - On Campus - Online. If you need to come to campus to take a class we have many evening and even a few weekend options. Courses are offered not only in the traditional 16-week format but also in 2, 4, and 8-week formats as well.
Rose State is known for its flexibility in accommodating students in the military. We have even been recognized as a military friendly school by G.I. Jobs Magazine. If you need to relocate before finishing your degree we will work with you to help you finish from your new location or coordinate with another school to assist with transferring of our college credits.

“Rose State was fantastic. Being in the Air Force, it was perfect for me. They were teaching us on the base in between deployments. It was very accessible to go there. That was my experience. When I was taking physics courses, I would have to deploy somewhere for a few weeks and then catch up on my homework. The professors were really helpful. That was nice.”

"The professors I had at Rose State—they’ll work with you. I had to deploy to Saudi Arabia at least twice while I was a student. I was gone about 45 days or so, and I’d miss part of the semester, but I turned in the work and it was great. …When I finished my associates at Rose State, it culminated in getting my Bachelor’s at the same time and I graduated."
