Electronica, Symphonic metal, Jazz and Acoustic music are on tap Friday, May 4th from 4:30 - 9:30 p.m., and on Saturday, May 5th, from 1-5 p.m. at the Second Annual Rose State College Festival of Modern Music. The free music festival will be held at the college’s outdoor amphitheater, next to the Communications Building.
Marcus R. Hill, The Billy Hartless Band, Dischordia, Angelical Tears, Jess and Johnny, and As the Crow Flies are among the featured artists at the event. Rose State College will also feature its Jazz Band and Top 40s Band. All bands have Rose State affiliation, either as faculty, staff, student or alumni.
Recording artists Angelical Tears will perform at the Second Annual Rose State College Festival of Modern Music, which takes place May 4-5 at the Performing Arts Theater in the outdoor Amphitheater. Admission is free.
“I'm excited about our lineup. The Festival is really coming together this year,” said Rose State professor of music, "Doc Of Rock" Dr. Jeremy Clifton. "This festival displays the performing talents of current and former students, staff, and professors as well as the talents and skills of current Music Engineering & Industry students." Clifton said the festival is also a chance to expose his music engineering students to live venues.
The show is free and open to the public. Parking for the show is free and convenient, just off Interstate 40 and Hudiburg drive.
