Reference Collection and Reference Area

The reference area is located on the first floor of the Learning Resources Center/Library (LRC) and provides a variety of resources to assist students, faculty, and staff in their research.

Reference Desk

 Reference Area on 1st floor

The RSC Library is staffed with five professional librarians with more than 180 years of combined experience. Along with two highly qualified reference assistants the RSC Library is one of Oklahoma's premier information centers. Whenever the LRC is open, a librarian or reference assistant is available at the Reference Desk to help patrons in their research or informational needs. Reference services are also available for students, faculty and staff via the Internet ("Ask a Librarian").

Reference Collection

Reference collection

The Library's reference collection is on the first floor. Reference books are arranged in the Library of Congress Classification System and call numbers are obtained through the online library catalog. The reference collection consists of general and subject specific encyclopedias, dictionaries, and almanacs. One of the Library's strongest and most heavily used areas is its literary reference collection. Reference books cannot be checked out of the library but patrons are permitted to photocopy materials.
