Rex Linn

Rex Linn: Acting on Film, A Work in Progress

With over 35 films under his belt, Rex’s talent has allowed him to work with some of the best actors, directors, and producers of our time.

Film credits include APPALOOSA (starring Ed Harris) and the classic blockbusters CLEAR AND PRESENT DANGER, TIN CUP, AND CLIFFHANGER to name a few.

His comedy chops have allowed him to work with some of the “greats” including Walter Matthau and Jack Lemmon in Neil Simon’s ODD COUPLE II, Steve Martin in CHEAPER BY THE DOZEN, and Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker in RUSH HOUR.

For the past 10 years, Rex has portrayed “Sergeant Frank Tripp” on the number one watched television show in the world, CBS’ hit series CSI: Miami.

Rex was recently cast in the film ATLAS SHRUGGED PART II based on the bestselling novel by Ayn Rand. Rex is currently filming one of the most anticipated films of 2013: Quentin Tarantino's DJANGO. The cast includes Jamie Foxx, Samuel L. Jackson, Leonardo DiCaprio, Kevin Costner, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Sacha Baron Cohen, Kurt Russell, Christoph Waltz (INGLORIOUS BASTARDS).

This is a rare opportunity to learn the unique aspects of film acting.

Rex’s largely autobiographical stage presentation discusses what works and what doesn't work in film (in his opinion!)

Topics include:

Script preparation
Workingwith the director
Sculpting a character
The use of voice and movement
Set politics
Director expectations
Honing on-camera skills
Rex will also take questions from the audience
