(Please go through the following qualifications to determine your eligibility)
_____ Do you work in a DHS or tribal licensed early care and education facility?
_____ Are you paid for working a minimum of 30 hours per week with the children?
_____ Does the facility / family home currently have 10% DHS or tribal subsidy children?
_____ Does the facility / family home meet all 3 of the following criteria:
- Have a current DHS subsidy contract number or a tribal contract number? ___________
- Have a Star Rating of “1 Star Plus” or higher? ___________
- Can justify in writing the lack of 10% subsidy in care? ____________
_____ Teachers and family child care providers must earn less than $15.50 per hour
_____ Directors and Assistant Directors must earn less than $15.50 per hour
_____ Applicant must be “On the Job” for 6 months before applying for the SECC scholarship (or 6 months on the job before the first class start date) with no greater than a 30 day break from child care employment
_____ Are you currently taking college classes or have you taken any college classes anywhere else before? If so, where and dates?
If you meet all of the above requirements, you are qualified to apply.

If you do qualify for the scholarship and you are already receiving PELL:
PELL, all other scholarships, and/or loans pay first or check with Scholar Coordinator to discuss.
If you do not meet all of the above requirements, then you do not qualify for the Scholars program nor the scholarship at this time. If you are still interested in enrolling in the child development program at Rose State, you may contact Admissions at 405-733-7308 and proceed with admissions, enrollment and financial aid process. You may also wait and call back when all qualifications are met to be considered for the SECC scholarship program.
