Rose State Live! Tickets on Sale at Civic Center/Rose Campus
Tickets for Rose State Live’s cultural series are now on sale at both Civic Center locations and now at Rose State College’s Performing Arts Center.
Rose State College Box Office Extends Hours
Easy and free parking, convenient location and an expanding season lineup prompted the extension of the hours of operation at the Rose State Performing Arts Center box office, located at the campus.
The box office in the college’s Performing Arts Center, located off Interstate 40 at Hudiburg Drive in Midwest City, will now be open Monday-Friday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. for ticket sales. Tickets can purchased at the Rose box office for any Civic Center show as well as any show happening in the Rose State Performing Arts Center, including Rose State Live! and UCO’s Broadway Tonight.. Rose State staff and students can get two free tickets to the following shows: Horseshoe Road on November 5, Drum Engine on February 9 and Hartel Dance Group on April 13. Staff and students MUST present a valid I.D. at the box office to receive the free tickets.

Go For Baroque-September 14
Go for Baroque is an eclectic jazz/classical ensemble featuring seven accomplished Oklahoma musicians. Go For Baroque will perform their new program, “Route 66: El Camino a la Fiesta.” (The Road to the Fiesta), a musical exploration of Latino rhythms found along Route 66, for people of all ages and all backgrounds.
Horseshoe Road-November 5
With an eclectic musical style ranging from Blues to Bluegrass, Gypsy Jazz to Western Swing, Country, Rock and Gospel, Horseshoe Road blends them into an earthy genre of music they call, Heartland Acoustic. World-renowned fiddle sensation and Oklahoma Musical Ambassador, Kyle Dillingham, heads the band. Dillingham has been featured on the Grand Ole Opry, has been on national television in China and has performed with Vince Gill, Jimmy Webb, Toby Keith, and Joe Diffie, to name a few. In 2008, Horseshoe Road completed a U.S. Embassy sponsored tour of Thailand, which commemorated the 175th anniversary of relations between the United States of America and the Kingdom of Thailand. It was the first time an American band had ever performed in four of the five cities they visited in Thailand. The band will perform music from their latest CD, “Reel-to-Reel.”
Special bilingual performance! Violinist Kyle Dillingham, good will Ambassador for L'Alliance Francaise d'OKC, will be featured at the Opening Ceremony and Main Stage at the 21st Annual Global Oklahoma Festival, Saturday, Oct. 3, 2009, featuring France.
Margaret Cho-October 1
Margaret Cho’s new show is a mix of new stand-up and live music. Cho will showcase songs from her forthcoming comedy album along with her distinctive material that’s developed a cult following through tours, concert films and TV specials. Cho’s trademark raunchy, socially relevant and politically charged comedy at Rose State Live! follow her fifth stand up concert film, Beautiful, and her new dramatic series, Drop Dead Diva, on Lifetime. Cho’s Rose State Live! show is for mature audiences only. Tickets on sale now at the Civic Center Box Office.
Tickets for the cultural series are $15 for general public, $10 for Rose State College faculty/staff and for students from schools other than Rose, and $5 for Rose State students. Relient K to Play Rose State Live!

Rockers Relient K will be performing at the Rose State College Performing Arts Theatre on October 21 for Rose State Live!
Relient K has been performing since 1997. In the decade since, they’ve released five full-length albums (three are certified Gold), five EPs and a Christmas record, toured the globe, and racked up several hit singles, a Grammy nomination, two Dove Awards and performances on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Late Night with Conan O’ Brien and Jimmy Kimmel Live. The Los Angeles Times has praised Relient K for “its smart blend of punk pop and power pop, weaving together influences as diverse as the Beach Boys, Blink-182 and Fountains of Wayne” while Spin noted, “Few bands play punk-influenced modern rock as proficiently.”
Joining Relient K will be Barcelona and Copeland for their “Three Hour Tour.”
