General Course Information
Currently Rose State offers only two Library Technical Assistant courses per semester. All of the LTA prefix courses are offered only over the Internet. You must follow the regular 16 week schedule for the class, but you may access the course itself at any time of the day or night. You must have both email and web access on a regular basis. Generally the Internet access you can get at a public library or in other public settings is not sufficient. WebTV generally is sufficient, as is the access you would have through a local university or school setting. If you are in the Midwest City area, your enrollment in the LTA courses allows you access to the computer labs here in the LRC. These are also sufficient for the classes.
Rose State uses the WebCT course software to produce our courses. You will be given a login and password for the course on the first day of classes. The website for the classes will not be active until that first day. You must, though, complete the WebCT orientation prior to the first day of classes.
