The Federal Work-Study Program (FWS) allows students to work and earn funds to pay for college. Application is made by completing the FAFSA form. Eligibility is determined by the school's Office of Student Financial Aid by calculating your financial need. After receiving an award letter you must visit the Rose State College Office of Student Financial Aid so that you can be sent out on interviews.
The maximum FWS awards are approximately $4,000 per year, which allow you to work a maximum of 15 hours per week. Students are paid by the hour at least once a month. Work-Study positions are available in almost all areas of the college, and some off-campus community-service positions may be available.
Contact the Financial Aid for additional information regarding Federal Work-Study procedures.
