Know How to Protect Yourself

At Rose State College, we believe one victim of sexual harassment and sexual assault is too many.  Arm yourself with the resources to prevent assault before it happens.

Tips

  1. Carry your car keys when approaching your vehicle so you can enter quickly.
  2. Check under your car upon approach and in the rear seat for intruders before entering your vehicle.
  3. If you feel unsafe walking to your vehicle on campus, call RSC Security at 733-7313 for an escort.
  4. Do not put your daily schedule, phone number, or address online.
  5. If you perceive communication from another person to be inappropriate, makes you uncomfortable, or is threatening, do not respond.
  6. Always be aware of your surroundings.
  7. If you are a victim of sexual assault, call 911 immediately
