Mission Statement:

The Radiologic Technology Program meets the needs of the students and the diverse community by providing effective education to students who will possess professionalism and entry-level employment skills in diagnostic radiography upon graduation.

Program Goals and Outcomes

Goal #1: Students will demonstrate clinical competence.

Learning Outcomes:    
Students will analyze diagnostic radiographs.
Students will select appropriate technical factors.
Students will demonstrate quality patient care practices.
Students will model ALARA principles.

Goal #2: Students will communicate effectively. 

Learning Outcomes:    
Students will demonstrate effective oral communication.  
Students will demonstrate effective written communication. 

Goal #3: The student will use problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

Learning Outcomes:   
Student will manipulate technical factors for non-routine examinations.    
Student will adapt positioning and/or IR placement for non-routine (due to condition) patients.

Goal #4: Students will embrace professionalism.
Learning Outcomes:     

Students will display professional behavior.
Graduates will remain credentialed for three years post-graduation.

Goal #5: The program will graduate entry-level radiologic technologists. 

Learning Outcomes:      
Students will complete the program within 24 months.       
Of those seeking employment, graduates will be employed within 12 months post grad. 
Students will pass the ARRT national certification on the 1st attempt within 6 months post grad.
Graduates/Students will be satisfied with their education.
Employers will be satisfied with the graduates' performance.
