Why Social Sciences?

If you're passionate about helping others and changing lives, then explore our degree options through the links listed at the left.

Here are three big reasons why you should check out Rose State College:

  • Your associate degree will transfer easily to a four-year university. That's because of our agreements with other public, higher education institutions through the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education.
  • You'll immediately receive a level of personal attention and support from faculty usually found only in junior and senior years at large universities. That can make a big difference in the quality of your educational experience.
  • Our graduates go on to successful careers such media consultants, educators, social workers, attorneys and many more!

Advanced Standing Exams

Extra Institutional Credit by Advanced Standing Exam applications are available in the Admissions Office (Student Union). The exam form is signed in the Social Sciences Division Office (Social Sciences Building, Room 108).  The completed application must be turned in prior to the date of testing.  Cost for testing is $5.00 per credit hour (3-hour course credit = $15.00). Exams are given in the Learning Resources Center Testing Center. The Office of Admissions sends out official notification on pass/fail status of the exam.
