Adults & Seniors
The Community Learning Center offers series of personal enrichment classes designed just for adults. Not only do they give you the chance to learn a new hobby or brush up on your skills, it's also a great way to meet some like-minded people.
One of the most popular offerings is the Fall Writer's Conference, a three-day workshop experience that covers fiction, poetry and nonfiction. It's organized by New York Times bestselling author William Bernhardt — an Oklahoma native — and it brings some of the nation's most successful writers and industry experts to Rose State.
Other opportunities include the chance to kick up your heels at a variety of dance classes — choose from ballroom, Latin, country and western and swing — or try your hand at crafts such as paper collage and quilting. There are open art studios for artists. Even a class for the kid at heart — Disney's Approach to Creativity and Innovation.
