Water and Wastewater Careers

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has provided funds to the Oklahoma Environmental Training Center at Rose State College to offer FREE Water and Wastewater operator training to the unemployed and underemployed. If you’re interesting in joining this high-demand green career field, register for our next free information session today!

Minimum Participant Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years or older
  • High school graduate or GED
  • Valid driver’s license
  • U.S. Citizen
  • Pass drug screening and background check

You must be accepted into the program to participate in this training! Acceptance process requires all applicants to attend the information session, complete Career Readiness testing, conduct a personal interview, and pass a drug test and background check before being considered for the program

Graduates Obtain the Following Upon Completion

  • National Career Readiness certificate
  • OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER certificate
  • 40-Hour D water license
  • 40-Hour D wastewater license
  • 40-Hour C water lab license
  • 40-Hour C wastewater lab license
  • OSHA 8-Hour Initial Confined Space certificate
  • OSHA Trenching/Excavation, Respirator and Lockout/Tag-out certificate
  • Job readiness training including (but not limited to) resume writing and interview skills.
