Glad I Chose Rose | Anna Grace Webb

Rose State College is proud of our students – past and present. We’re continuing our “Glad I Chose Rose” series, which highlights inspiring stories from Rose State alumni and their experiences at the college.

Meet Anna Grace Webb. Class of 2022.

Anna Grace grew up at Rose State College and knew she wanted to study here after attending Junior and Senior Preview Day. She is the daughter of the former President Emerita of Rose State College, Dr. Jeanie Webb.

Anna Grace completed her Associate Degree in Fine Arts – Interdisciplinary Studies in 2022 and then transferred to Southwestern Oklahoma State University (SWOSU), where she completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Health and Physical Education.

Anna Grace says higher education changed her life. Both of her parents were college presidents, and she saw firsthand how a college education can impact a person’s life. She knew that Rose State College would give her a strong academic and personal foundation.

Several staff and faculty members played an important role in her time at RSC, but the following four people stood out to Anna Grace: Dr. Jeanie Webb, Dr. Kirby Harzman, Paige Stramski, and Lance Newbold. She says they all played a significant role in her life, helping make her a better person who has the confidence to reach her potential.

One of Anna Grace’s favorite memories from her time as a student at RSC was when Dr. Kirby Harzman dressed up as her for Halloween.

Currently, Anna Grace works at Rose State College as a Recruiter. She travels across Oklahoma representing RSC at high schools and various events – always with a smile on her face.

“Rose State isn’t just where I went to college,” she said. “It’s where I found myself, and now, I get to help others do the same. Once a Raiders, always a Raider!”

Anna Grace was very involved on campus during her time at Rose State College, and she encourages our current students to get plugged in, too. Anna Grace was in the President’s Leadership Class, Phi Theta Kappa, and Student Senate. One of her favorite roles was serving as president of the RSC Student Senate her sophomore year.

“If you are considering RSC, know that you’re not just choosing a college — you are choosing a community,” said Anna Grace. “RSC is a place where you will be seen, supported, and challenged. It is the perfect starting point whether you are transferring to a university, starting a career, or figuring out what comes next.”

Now you might be wondering what’s next for Anna Grace. She is currently pursuing her Master’s Degree in Higher Education at the University of Central Oklahoma. Her research focuses on developing skills in leadership, talent development, and adult learning to enhance educational and professional growth environments.
