The Village Marks 10 Years of Transforming Student Life at Rose State College

Students, alumni, and community members gathered together to celebrate a decade of on-campus student living and learning as The Village at Rose State College marks its 10th anniversary.

Since opening in 2015, The Village has transformed student life by creating a vibrant residential community where students live, learn, and build lifelong connections. The addition of on-campus housing reshaped Rose State’s culture, turning the commuter college experience into a full campus community.

“The Village fundamentally changed the way students experience Rose State College,” said Rose State College Director of Residence Life Kim Queri. “It created a true sense of belonging that continues to define our campus today.”

The college hosted a 10-Year Celebration Event, featuring a walk down memory lane, alumni reflections, and recognition of the students, faculty, and staff who helped make The Village a success story.

Over the past decade, The Village has housed thousands of students from across Oklahoma and beyond. Its apartment-style design offers modern amenities, collaborative study spaces, and easy access to academic and student services — all crafted to enhance both personal and academic growth.

“We continue to build on The Village’s legacy by expanding opportunities for students to thrive on campus,” said Rose State College President Travis Hurst. “This milestone is a great reminder of how a strong sense of community can truly shape student success.”

The anniversary celebration highlights a decade of innovation and student engagement that defines Rose State’s approach to higher education. As the College looks toward the next decade, The Village stands as a lasting symbol of connection, progress, and possibility.
