More than 50 community members gathered to listen as candidates for the Nation Principal Chief provided their views and strategies on how to lead the largest Native American tribe in the United States.
The Central Oklahoma Cherokee Alliance partnered with Rose State College’s American Indian Association for a candidate forum for the election of the next Cherokee National Principal Chief on June 9, 2015 at 6:30 pm.
While open to the public, more than 50 community members gathered at the college to hear comments from candidates Will Fourkiller, Chad Smith and Charlie Soap.
Moderated by Rose State students, questions included candidates’ views and strategies on how they could best lead the largest Native American tribe in the United States.
