The Rose State Raider baseball team proudly hosted a signing ceremony for Tyler Anderson of Piedmont High School yesterday.  Tyler started playing baseball at four years old and has loved every minute. He chose Rose State after a few visits to the campus. Tyler said, “I really like the school, the coaches, and the team.  It’s a great atmosphere and I’m excited about the possibilities in the next two years.”

Tyler’s parents, Robin and Sean Anderson, joined him at the ceremony to celebrate his achievements.  Sean said he is glad his son chose Rose State because it will help him get better acclimated to the academic rigors of college life and will give Tyler the chance for more playing time earlier in his college career compared to starting at a four-year school.

Coty Cooper, head baseball coach for Rose State, said, “Tyler is a good left handed pitcher. We knew we wanted him at Rose State after seeing him work out with the team and watching him throw at a Piedmont High School game.”  Tyler will be a great addition to the team for the 2016-2017 school year.
