Innovation Station STARTS IT UP in Downtown Oklahoma City

Oklahoma City, Okla. –   Rose State College along with partners Tinker Federal Credit Union and Creative Oklahoma are proud to host the grand opening of the Rose State College Innovation Station in Oklahoma City, at 3pm on September 22nd, 2016.

The new space located at 133 W. Main in downtown Oklahoma City partners with local business and industry to provide creative workforce training and development solutions as well as workspaces and collaboration for the Oklahoma City community of innovators.

“Rose State is honored to be in partnership with Tinker Federal Credit Union and Creative Oklahoma,” stated Rose State College President, Dr. Jeanie Webb. “The Innovation Station is a welcoming space that will stimulate thought, innovation and team building.”

“TFCU is excited and proud to be a part of Rose State College’s innovative new venture in downtown Oklahoma City,” said Senior Vice President of Marketing, Matt Stratton. “It’s the perfect extension of the credit union’s longstanding partnership with Rose State and our shared conviction that financial education and sound money management skills are important for every student regardless of their major area of study.”

Creative Oklahoma, which has been a trailblazing force in the development, promotion and celebrations of Oklahoma’s creativity since 2006, is the third partner in the downtown venture.

“Innovation and Creativity can only happen when people are willing to collaborate, ideate and embrace the thought of what can be,” stated Dave Evans, Executive Director of Creative Oklahoma. “Creative Oklahoma’s partnership with Rose State and the Innovation Station will fuel innovation downtown by creating intentional collisions of ideas through the education and training opportunities we will offer local businesses and entrepreneurs.  We are thrilled to be working with the team at the Innovation Station as well as the rest of our partners across the state.”

The Innovation Station is also a great place for small business to come and grow. Once a week the Small Business Development Center will host small business workshops for entrepreneurs, corporations, business owners and students to learn and share ideas.

One powerful and unique experience offered at the Innovation Station is Lego Serious Play, as well as certificates, academic offerings and meeting space.
