Midwest City, Okla. – Calling all student inventors. Now is the time to get your projects ready for competition at the 29th Annual Oklahoma Student Inventors Exposition. The Expo will take place on Tuesday, February 20th, 2018 from 8:00 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. in the Rose State College Hudiburg Chevrolet Center at Rose State College.

The Expo is open to students in grades K-12 from public, parochial, home-schools and private Schools. The purpose is to get the creative juices flowing early in our youngest entrepreneurs.

“Our youngsters may not realize what they’re doing when they create these great projects but as they start to explain to the judges how their entry works they are displaying critical thinking skills which can be used to solve everyday problems,” said co-founder Betty J.C. Wright.

The Expo began with 35 students in 1990 and has grown to hundreds of participants in 2016. Students learn to foster creative and innovative thinking, showcase, explain and market their ideas.

Entries from previous years included Child Seat Safety Kits, a Super Solar Oven, a Rain Faucet, A Dispensing Hairbrush And Magnetic Christmas Lights.

Student inventors need to complete a registration form (attached) and submit via email to Rwright20@att.net. Forms must be submitted by November 24th, 2017.

All participating inventors receive certificates and medals.
