Welcomes high school juniors, seniors and parents to campus-wide open house

Rose State College is welcoming high school juniors and seniors, and their parents, to a unique campus-wide open house called College Kickstart. This event, which will be held on the campus mall October 9, will give potential students an opportunity to learn more about Rose State College. Attendees will have an opportunity to discover information on the sixty-plus degree programs offered at Rose, as well as information on Admissions, Financial Aid, Scholarships and more. Students and their parents will also have the opportunity to tour the campus, meet and greet professors and discover the various amenities on campus, such as The Underground Café in the Learning Resource Center, and the Aquatics and Wellness Center.

This is not your typical a campus open-house however. In addition to the campus tours and information sessions, a food truck will be present in addition to music, games and other activities. "We want an event that encompasses what campus life is like at Rose State College," said Dr. Jeanie Webb, President of Rose State College. "College Kickstart will give potential students, and their parents, the opportunity to see what we are doing at Rose State that is so special. We are taking great strides to ensure that we are the top community college in the state, and I want everyone to see that."

College Kickstart will begin October 9 at 6:30 pm on with a special welcome from President Jeanie Webb. After the address, the campus will be open for tours and various questions and answer opportunities. The event is come-and-go, free to attend, and will conclude at 8:00 pm. College Kickstart is ideal for high school juniors, seniors, and parents exploring college options for Fall 2019.
