Rose State Men And Women’s Soccer Finish Season On Top Published November 1, 2018

Men and Women Soccer ChampionsMen and Women Soccer Both Claim Conference Championships on way to Regional Titles; Both Advance to District Tournament

The Rose State Men and Women’s Soccer teams finished the 2018 regular season on top after big wins at the 2018 NJCAA Region 2 Tournament. The Rose State College Men (14-3, 7-1 Conference), and Women (15-3-2, 10-2-1 Conference), each finished the regular season on top of the conference heading to the regional tournament last weekend at Northeastern A&M College in Miami, Oklahoma. The RSC Men and Women both proceeded through the tournament undefeated. 

In addition to the 2018 regular season and regional tournament championships, numerous players were awarded  All-Region player honors as well. Olivia Basnett and Laura Sofia Carvajal Granados were selected All-Region for the Women, and Ala Ramadan, Justin Croke, Adam Conway, and Harvey Paul for the Men. Ala Ramadan was also chosen as the Region 2 Player of the Year, and  Coach Billy Martin was selected as the Region 2 Coach of the Year. 

The Rose State Men and Women will now head to the Plains District Tournament in Cleburne, Texas where they will face off against some of the top teams in the country. The Rose State Men will play #5 Cowley College on Friday, November 2. Cowley College sits at 16-0 for 2018 and is playing in their first District Tournament. The Rose State Women face #11 Butler Community College, a rematch from earlier this season that ended in a tie in overtime.
