Dr. Monique Bruner of Rose State College was selected as the 2019 recipient of the Vilona P. Cutler Award by the Urban League of Greater Oklahoma City. The Award is presented for meritorious and outstanding service in building human relations that promote the advancement of the general welfare of all citizens of Oklahoma City.

Bruner has been actively engaged in the ongoing service to the community in the development of the Center for Success, Inclusion and Diversity on the Rose State campus. In addition, she is a strong advocate in supporting education within the K-12 system and Rose State.

“Dr. Bruner is a passionate professor with a heart for every student at every point in their academic career,” stated Jeanie Webb, President of Rose State. “We congratulate her on this much-deserved award.”

The Cutler Award is the Urban League’s most prestigious recognition having been established in 1950.

Bruner receives her award on June 15th at the annual awards event.
