Reach Higher: RECONNECT Week is a series of coordinated student recruitment events to be held July 27 -Aug. 1 at participating Reach Higher campuses across the state. The primary goals of Reach Higher: RECONNECT Week are to increase awareness of the adult-friendly degree completion options available through the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education’s Reach Higher initiative and encourage adults who have earned some college credit to successfully complete their degrees.

The week will kick off with “Degree Completion Day,” an event on Saturday July 27 where students can ask questions, take a campus tour, and get enrolled. There will also be giveaways for participants, food and family-friendly activities.

“We want to celebrate higher education and the step our students are taking,” said Monique Bruner, Director of the Center for Success, Inclusion, and Diversity at Rose State. “This is the going to be a great event for our prospective students. We know making it to campus during the week can be a challenge, that’s why we’re excited to offer a Saturday event where students can get plugged back in to college, or to enroll for the first time.”

The Reach Higher RECONNECT Degree Completion Day will be held at the Rose State College University Center from 10 am – 2 pm. The University Center is located next to the Rose State College Hudiburg Chevrolet Center on Hudiburg Drive.

Reach Higher provides two distinct degree completion program strands for adult learners. Reach Higher: FlexFinish offers flexible enrollment and online options to working adults who wish to pursue an associate degree in enterprise development or a bachelor’s degree in organizational leadership at one of 21 participating colleges and universities in Oklahoma. Reach Higher: DirectComplete offers adult students the opportunity to complete a degree program connected with workforce development needs that align with Oklahoma’s 100 Critical Occupations list.
