RSC Loans Ventilators to Hospital Published April 17, 2020

ventilatorsRebecca Knox, Director of the Rose State College Respiratory Therapist program is pictured with a representative from Alliance Health in Durant, OK. Rebecca was contacted by the hospital indicating they only had 5 ventilators and they were all is use. Usually hospitals in this position call on rental companies for back up ventilators but as you can imagine there are none to be found.  Rose State College loaned the hospital 3 ventilators to assist them with the shortage during the COVID-19 crisis.

Additionally, to help local COVID-19 efforts, the Health Sciences Division as a whole collected and donated personal protective equipment including, gloves, surgical masks, and specialized respirator masks.  Equipment was delivered to OU medical, Integris Baptist, and SSM St. Anthony Shawnee.
