New Year, New Opportunities at Rose State CollegeWith the new year rolling right along, Rose State College offers its students the chance to expand their horizons and get involved on a campus filled with opportunities. From academics, sports, campus life and much more, Rose State has something to offer each of its students no matter their interest.

Variety of Academic Programs

Rose State offers its students 60 academic programs to choose from across four divisions: Business & Information Technology, Engineering & Science, Health Sciences, and Liberal Arts & Sciences. With 57 percent of jobs in Oklahoma requiring education past high school, Rose State’s 20-to-1 student-to-teacher ratio positions students to succeed as soon as they step on campus. This, paired with the 30 million dollars Rose State gives in scholarships and financial aid every year, allows students to advance their careers starting day one.

Sports

As a member of the National Junior College Athletic Association, Rose State offers students the chance to compete at the collegiate level across five different sports, including baseball, softball, men's and women’s soccer, as well as women’s volleyball. If you are interested in joining one of the teams, Rose State College's athletic department will answer any questions students might have.

Student Associations

Outside of sports, there are over 21 unique student associations on campus. From tennis club to spectrum alliance, there is a place for every student regardless of interest. These clubs compete at the end of the year for the title of “Club of the Year” via participation in activities and points earned through involvement. Rose State also gives students a unique chance to become involved in the arts with activities such as the student theater and the annual student-run art publication, Pegasus

Career and Community Services

Rose State has a history of giving back to the community. Resources such as the environmental training and small business development are made available to not only students, but the public as well. These resources are aimed to help members of the community learn and achieve their goals. Students at Rose State also have access to the college’s career services. Career services helps students explore careers and gain job search skills in order to guide them in finding and pursuing their careers.

Whether it’s cheering on the Raiders at a sporting event or joining a club, Rose State offers something for each student. To view a full list of campus resources and opportunities, visit rose.edu/content/student-activities.
