The RSC Foundation has generously donated $10,000 toward this fund and working in conjunction with the community to raise needed funds for students. The Foundation and Resource Development office will notify student relief selected recipients.

What is the campaign goal for the COVID-19 Student Relief Fund?

The goal is to raise funds to help our students offset the cost of any educational hardship they may experience due to COVID-19.

Yes, your donation is 100% tax-deductible. The RSC Foundation is a qualified 501(c) (3) tax-exempt organization.

How will you decide who receives the money?

A committee will review COVID-19 Student Relief applications and determine how to award funds. It is based on need with a maximum award of $500.

How do I know awarded students will be spending the money appropriately?

These times are difficult for all of us. The RSC Foundation is grateful for the outreach from our community and desire to help our students as they face unparalleled challenges. You have entrusted us with a responsibility that we take seriously and so do our students. Each student is required to complete an application that is reviewed prior to funding that helps us understand their circumstances and plan. The fund is designated to offset short-term financial need and is not intended to replace or supplement financial aid.

What happens to any leftover funds?

Currently, the need is so great on behalf of our students that our concern is not having enough funds available to meet the need. In the unlikely situation that not all funds were needed, the funds will be used for student scholarships.
