Heritage Day

Rose State College announces the 2016 Heritage Day at the Atkinson Heritage Center on September 10, 2016 from 10-4 at 1001 N. Midwest Blvd. in Midwest City

The 2016 Heritage Day will be a family friendly event to recreate the early days of Midwest City. It was a time when families would gather at the home of Midwest City founder, W. P. “Bill” and Rubye Atkinson for a day at the Red Ranch to ride Shetland ponies.

Plenty of activities will take place, such as pony rides, a petting zoo, musical entertainment, arts and crafts, food trucks, and a historic home tour of the Atkinson Heritage Center. Tours of the home will be given at 10:15, 11:15, 12:15 and 1:15.

$10 wristbands will be available for children who would like to participate in the Pony Rides, Petting Zoo, Covered Wagon Rides and Inflatable Jumping Activities! You may purchase these in advance through our payment link or at the Rose State Info Tent on the day of the event.

During the event, the Rose State College Foundation will also be concluding their 1957 Chevrolet Fundraising Raffle by drawing the name of the lucky winner at 2pm.

Call 405-736-0315 for any additional information.
