DESC includes representatives from both academic and student support offices on campus. Their goals are improving advisement and enrollment of students who take developmental courses; more appropriately aligning and selecting curriculum for students who take developmental courses; correcting misconceptions of administrators, faculty, staff, and students about students who take developmental courses; and improving instruction in developmental courses by implementing and sharing best practices.
