Physics - one of the oldest academic disciplines

Engineering & Science

Physics

Physics is one of the oldest academic disciplines and is a natural science that involves the study of matter and its motion through space and time, along with related concepts such as energy and force. More broadly, it is the general analysis of nature, conducted in order to understand how the universe behaves. A physics degree will qualify you for a variety of careers from inventing to analyzing to improving. Some of the professions which require a strong physics background include: physicists, engineers (aeronautical, electrical, mechanical, and civil), forensic scientist, and researchers.

The goal of the Associate in Science in Physics program is to prepare students for additional study in physics or any technical field which relies on physics. Our program is designed to provide students with the core which will enable them to enter a baccalaureate degree program in physics or engineering.
