Focus On Student Success
Supporting student success through great teaching is the number one focus at Rose State College. Our faculty’s top priority is teaching, not research. Even as an entering freshman you will experience small class sizes. Unlike large universities, Rose State has no mega sections filled with hundreds of students. You will get the personalized education that can make the difference in your success.
Rose State offers flexibility in taking courses too. Options include day, evening, and online. Hybrid courses, consisting of part classroom and part online, are also part of the curriculum. Many degrees have online components, and seven of our degrees can even be completed totally online. Classes are offered in 2, 4, 8, and 16-week terms, providing further flexibility.
A high quality education is what students find at Rose State. The college is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools (HLC), the same nationally recognized organization that accredits such highly acclaimed schools as the University of Oklahoma, Notre Dame, the University of Chicago, and the University of Michigan. Our professional programs are further accredited by such prestigious bodies as the American Bar Association and the National League for Nursing.
Most of our associate degrees are “Built to Transfer,” meaning that you can transfer your degree to a four-year college or university for completion of your bachelor’s degree, if you so choose. Rose State also offers many Associate in Applied Science degrees that can help you land a great job immediately upon graduation.
Academic programs fall under one of the five divisions listed to the right. You will find more information about each degree offered by exploring the links to these divisions. We also have an alliance program with area technology centers, which provides another avenue for you to earn a degree.
