In an effort to enhance the core competencies of current and future substitute teachers, Rose State College and Professional Oklahoma Educators have joined forces and developed a new Oklahoma Substitute Teaching Certificate. The 10-hour credential will be offered Tuesday and Thursday evenings beginning July 12. The hands-on course includes such topics as
being ready to walk into the classroom
discipline techniques for the classroom
understanding student behavior, understanding what school districts, superintendents, and classroom teachers expect
legal obligations.
