The Study
Located in the Humanities Building, HUM 218, "The Study" is available for students to use as a quiet retreat to study and relax. Seating, WIFI, tables, chairs, and a whiteboard are available.
Brightspace (by D2L)
Currently we use the Brightspace (by D2L) learning management system for our online and on-campus courses. We are beginning a migration to the Canvas learning management system which will be completed by Summer 2019. These learning management systems enable students to engage in online classroom activities through a web browser.
Computer Labs
The college maintains multiple computer labs on campus. Students will receive personal assistance and help with campus logins, basic computer questions and locating information from helpful and knowledgeable staff members.
STEM Lab
The STEM Lab is a quiet space where students can study for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics courses. It is staffed by friendly, knowledgeable Lab Assistants who are available to help students on an as-needed basis with everything from navigating MyMathLab to solving that one last tricky homework problem. The STEM Lab also has current textbooks available that students can reference, older textbooks that students can borrow, and scientific and graphing calculators that students can borrow for a day.
Reading Lab
The Rose State Reading Lab provides one-on-one, individualized instruction for students seeking to improve their reading skills. We work with RSC students who are currently enrolled in reading classes, as well as those who are not. Referrals are not required.
Tutoring Center
Rose State College provides free tutoring services to all Rose State College students, as well as area high-school students, through its Tutoring Center.
Writing Lab
