Come take advantage of online databases, reference services, research tips and tools, the computer lab, OK-Share, interlibrary loans and more.
Located in the Humanities Building, HUM 218, "The Study" is available for students to use as a quiet retreat to study and relax. Seating, WIFI, tables, chairs are available.
Currently we use the Canvas learning management system for our online and on-campus courses. These learning management systems enable students to engage in online classroom activities through a web browser.
The college maintains multiple computer labs on campus. Students will receive personal assistance and help with campus logins, basic computer questions and locating information from helpful and knowledgeable staff members.
The STEM Lab is a quiet space where students can study for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics courses. It is staffed by friendly, knowledgeable Lab Assistants who are available to help students on an as-needed basis with everything from navigating MyMathLab to solving that one last tricky homework problem. The STEM Lab also has current textbooks available that students can reference, older textbooks that students can borrow, and scientific and graphing calculators that students can borrow for a day.
The Rose State Reading Lab provides one-on-one, individualized instruction for students seeking to improve their reading skills. We work with RSC students who are currently enrolled in reading classes, as well as those who are not. Referrals are not required.
The Tutoring Center provides free tutoring services to all Rose State College students. Tutoring is available for many of the required general-education courses, with special emphasis given to the English Composition, History, Political Science, Science, and Mathematics courses required for any degree that many students struggle with. Additional support for STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) courses is also available on a drop-in basis in the STEM Lab, which is located in LRC 250B (within the Tutoring Center).
The Rose State Writing Lab provides one-on-one help with any Rose State writing project at no charge. It's open to all students; no referral is required.
