Midwest City, OK: After finishing conference play with a 5-1 record (8-5-1 overall), Rose State College Men’s Soccer has a couple of individual awards to add to their 2017 OIAC Conference Championship. At an award ceremony Saturday night in Miami, OK during the regional tournament, Billy Martin and Ala Ramadan both received individual recognition for their performance this season -- Martin winning OIAC Coach of the Year and Ramadan as Most Valuable Player.

Coach Billy Martin, in his fourth season as the RSC Men’s Soccer coach, led the Raider Men to their second straight conference championship, helping the coach to win his second straight OIAC Coach of the Year award.

Aiding the Raider Men on the field was Ala Ramadan. The Milan, Italy native finished his first season at Rose State with top honors, completing the season with 8 goals and 10 assists. Ramadan is the second consecutive Raider to win MVP honors, with the award going to Abou Diallo in 2016.

In its fourth season at Rose State College, the men’s soccer program has finished as conference champions twice, claiming their first regional tournament championship this past weekend. The Rose State Men’s Soccer team will play in Topeka, KS Thursday, November 2 in in their first Plains District tournament appearance.
