Higher Ed Day

Each year, Higher Education Day at the State Capitol provides a platform for students, faculty, and staff from Oklahoma's public colleges and universities to engage with legislators, advocating for the significance and impact of higher education in the state’s workforce.

Rose State College demonstrated its support for the event by organizing a trip to the Capitol, where President Dr. Jeanie Webb, faculty and staff, and selected students engaged in discussions with Oklahoma Governor Kevin Stitt, Lieutenant Governor Matt Pinnell, and other legislators in person.

"Rose State College is always eager for the chance to express gratitude to legislators for their backing of higher education in Oklahoma," stated President Webb. "Recognizing the profound influence higher education has on the state’s workforce, we are grateful for the ongoing commitment of our State Regents to ensuring accessible and affordable public higher education for all Oklahomans."
