Rose State Student Receives Award at the State Capitol Published April 14, 2022

Rose State College’s
own Madison Wheeler was recognized by the Oklahoma Association of Community Colleges (OACC) amongst community college students across the state for her achievements. 

Wheeler, a freshman business major at Rose State and a member of the All-Oklahoma Academic Team, received the OACC President’s Tuition Waiver during an award ceremony on Tuesday, March 29. The Cherokee, Oklahoma, native was presented the award at the State Capitol alongside Rose State President Dr. Jeanie Webb. 

“Madison’s achievements prove she has a bright future ahead of her and we at Rose State are proud to play a part in her journey,” Dr. Webb said. “Madison’s hard work does not go unnoticed.” 

The All-Oklahoma Academic Team Program provides statewide recognition to outstanding two-year college students. The President’s Tuition Waiver goes to students who have demonstrated outstanding academic achievement and leadership ability.
